Test report of cheap DTF film on the market: a double test of quality and integrity

With the continuous development of Direct to Film (DTF) technology, many DTF film products have emerged on the market, including attractive and cheap options. However, does the low price mean the same excellent quality and service? Recently, we tested some cheap DTF films on the market, and the results were somewhat worrying.

1. Base film thickness and material process

As the core component of DTF film, the thickness and material of the base film directly affect the stability and printing effect of the product. However, in the batch of cheap DTF films we purchased, the base film thickness was reduced to 65μ. This will cause ink flow during printing, affecting the printing effect, and the hot tearing effect is poor, and it is easy to stick to powder.

2. Storage performance test

During the rainy season, the air humidity is high, which puts higher requirements on the storage performance of DTF film. After we exposed this batch of cheap DTF film to the air for half an hour, we found a lot of water droplets on its surface, while PrintWant's DTF film did not have such problems. Of course, we recommend that both storage and printing rooms be kept between 45% and 65% occupancy.

This test result shows that the moisture resistance of cheap DTF film is poor, and it is easy to absorb moisture in the air, resulting in surface moisture. This will not only affect the printing effect, but also increase the risk of product damage.

3. Price and integrity issues

In addition to product quality issues, we also found problems with the price and integrity of these cheap DTF films. When we inquired about these products and expressed interest in buying them, the supplier told us that this batch of products had been sold out and that we would need to pay more if we wanted to continue buying. This false quotation strategy not only disappointed people, but also exposed the lack of integrity of some suppliers.
